Food for the Hungry has a passion to impact children around the world with the love of Christ through meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This blog is a window into the work that Child Sponsorship is doing in the lives of children that are being sponsored by passionate people here in the US that desire to be a part of the change in these children’s lives.

My name is Katie Mayward (also posting as sponsorimpact) and I have been working at Food for the Hungry for two and half years in the Child Sponsorship Department. My husband is a youth pastor at our church and we had our first son in July 2009. I have a passion for sharing the stories and bringing awareness to the injustice that children face in this country and around the world every day. Child Sponsorship is just one of the many ways to end poverty and I hope this blog can be a voice for those that have none.
